Lately, I have been going through TV shows on Netflix like they are water. My favorites have been crime and legal dramas. Each of them have their appeal. Non-perfect protagonists that you cannot help to like and grow to love, despite the fact that you are disgusted with the way they handle things sometimes. Isn't this much like family? Gotta love 'em.
The TV show "The Guardian" is very real. The thing I like about it is that there is never a TRUE happy ending or resolution in most of the episodes. It is almost refreshing in a sense. The show is not idyllic whatsoever. Life is not idyllic and straight forward. Things always go wrong and we are always set back and have to find our way back to the path we were trying to follow in the first place. That is what pulls me to this show I think. Life is not fair. I struggle every day to overcome what stresses and issues that have been a constant. I don't know when, or if, I CAN overcome some things. One day I hope to though.
I just decided to switch majors in my college career. It is not what i wanted to do, nor is it what I know my life's true passion is, but I needed to move on with my life. Get myself unstuck. I had been pursuing my Science degree for the past 4 yrs. at a community college and I hadn't even completed my Associates yet! Unfortunately I needed to pursue something a little easier for me to handle at the moment, so I could approach a true adult career. After all, it sucks to constantly be a broke college student.
I am already struggling a little in my first foreign language course (Latin. I have switched my major to Art History), but I DID get started later, so I am hoping things look up soon. Because of this switch at this time, I am set back a year or two I think. This will suck. It will soo suck, but hopefully overall, this course of action will be much better for me in the long run.
One day, I may go back to try to get done what I wanted to do in the first place. -crossing my fingers-
